Disc Golf
For those not familiar with the game, it is like regular golf in that you score par’s, birdie’s, ace’s and bogies. It’s unlike regular golf in that you throw specially designed frisbies (called discs) and instead of a hole the objective is to get your disc into a basket.
This is a game that requires strategy, finesse, and patience. People generally start off slow but pick it up quickly.
I have reached a point where shooting par over 18 holes is doable. Last 4 rounds I have played in the range of 1 to 3 over par. On the verge of my first ace and first sub-par round. It’s an exciting place to be.
Stay tuned for updates!
Kharma on the course –
One thing that is unavoidable with disc golf is loosing your disc. At some point it will happen. It’ll end up in a water hazard, a tree or a field of dense tall grass….it happens.
This is why we write our names and numbers on the underside of the disc.
I have both lost and found discs….I use to keep them. Now I only keep those without contact info. As for past infractions, well….I have only had one returned to me….so, I guess if I lose one, I am just giving back.
